Association for the Advancement of Womanhood (AAWON) is a non-governmental organization set up to uplift women and unite the female gender across Africa. The main focus here is simply female empowerment and the elevation of the female role in the public space as well as the private space.

To raise the status of African women by building confidence in their ability to achieve whatever goals they set for themselves.

To bring African women together in a manner that will get them to share ideas, compare experiences and generally network with each other in other to assist and encourage each other to progress.

To teach, equip, and develop African women; to become computer literate, and to use the knowledge to improve their socio-economic status.

To inspire African women, in the homeland or the Diaspora, to strive for the best and achieve their most important dream of being the best they can be.
